The Metabo MFE 40 is a professional wall chaser designed for cutting channels for cables and empty conduits under plaster. The robust 1900 W Marathon motor with dust protection and a two-stage high-torque gearbox delivers strong pulling power and constant speed under load, ensuring rapid progress even in hard concrete. Tacho Constamatic (TC) full-wave electronics keep the 5000 rpm no-load speed stable at about 4200 rpm under rated load, providing clean, consistent cuts.

Cutting depth can be set between 10 and 40 mm, while groove widths of 9, 15.5, 22, 28.5 or 35 mm cover typical cable and conduit sizes. The sliding cutting motion with good view of the marking line makes it easy to follow layouts accurately. With special accessories, grooves up to 30 mm wide without a center rib can be made in a single pass, and with just one diamond blade the MFE 40 can also be used as a cut-off saw.

The die-cast aluminium housing with rubber wheels and well-positioned front and rear handles ensures smooth guidance along walls and floors. Electronic soft start and restart protection after power failure improve safety, while the Metabo S-automatic safety clutch mechanically disengages the drive if a blade jams, reducing kickback. A 35/41 mm dust extraction port allows connection to a suitable vacuum for low-dust working on site.
